Chanda Hinton Leichtle

Executive Director & Founder

Ms. Hinton-Leichtle has her undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Denver.  She is an advocate for persons with disabilities and sits on many committees related to that population. She recently completed her Masters in Non-profit Management at Regis University.



Director of Operations

She graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and a minor in Kinesiology.  She also continued her education at Regis by recently completing her Master’s in Non-Profit Management.  She has experience in both veterinary medicine as well as nutrition prior to joining the nonprofit industry, and wellness has always been a priority in both her personal and professional life.  She previously started with the Chanda Plan Foundation back in 2013; however, she moved to Texas for a year in 2015.  There she spent quality time with her family, and excelled in Resource Development for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.  She is excited to be joining the Chanda Plan Foundation once again as her heart never left the organization or Colorado.

Christopher Pierce

Development Director

Christopher has over 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience that spans the multifaceted operations of grassroots and national organizations, fundraising over $20M to date. For seven years, he was the Executive Director of Camping Services for the YMCA of Greater Seattle, managing one of the Nation’s largest YMCA youth/teen/family camping programs. In 2012, he was inspired to begin PEAK | 3 Nonprofit consulting, and worked collaboratively alongside key-decision makers to successfully guide nonprofits in strategically increasing the capacity to serve more constituents and effectively obtain mission objectives. His experience also includes Executive Director of YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Colorado and Director of Camp Mihaska with the Salvation Army of Greater St. Louis. Above all else, Christopher is most proud of being a father of two active Colorado Boys. He also enjoys music, history and independent films in his free time.

Emma Gardner


Development Associate

She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Speech, Language, and Hearing, Sciences and a certificate in Technical Arts & Media. She has years of experience advocating for mental health as an active volunteer with To Write Love on Her Arms. She is excited to be joining the Chanda Plan Foundation to support and drive growth and development.
